Our Senior Technical Sales Specialist is a master at showcasing our product effectively, creating connections with prospects, helping to persuade buyer’s by crafting masterfully helpful and professional emails, and closing the deal!

Working with leads from our marketing efforts and driving new interest with thoughtful prospecting, you will focus on building relationships with prospects to highlight the value of emPerform aligned to their business needs. You will proactively reach out to organizations across Canada and the US to show them why they should be using emPerform to align, develop & engage a winning workforce. Using our proven sales deck, you will conduct web-based demonstrations to leaders, HR professionals, and executives from the comfort of your workspace and nurture leads to close. Your team will fully support your success so that you can achieve endless possibilities within this role.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • You hold a university degree and have 3+ years work experience in Sales or a Sales-related role (ideally in B2B SaaS) Bonus: you have experience in HR solution sales
  • You have a clear track record of exceeding expectations and sales targets
  • You have exceptional attention to detail, initiative, and persuasive communication skills
  • You excel at asking the right questions to understand a prospects’ needs and decision process quickly, and you work with contacts to engage them in the sales process
  • You have outstanding demonstration and presentation skills and a track record of presenting successfully to senior level executives and professionals
  • You have the ability to understand the buyer’s cycle and tailor your approach accordingly
  • You can multi-task and prioritize for an optimal mixture of inbound/outbound sales activities
  • You understand the importance of maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
  • You don’t mind rolling up your sleeves to improve on the sales process and get the job done
  • You don’t take no for an answer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Exceed quarterly sales targets by delivering a world-class experience to organizations looking for performance management software. 

  • Quickly become a solution and industry expert, understanding key value propositions and sales drivers across different markets and stakeholders
  • Display confidence, product expertise, and energy replying to qualified inbound leads
  • Effectively qualify prospects and move them through the sales pipeline
  • Coordinate and conduct masterful sales demonstrations – from the initial tour to late-stage demonstrations and tailoring content and value based on the prospect’s needs
  • Prioritize lead follow-up and nurture activities to meet objectives
  • Manage and track all leads and opportunities using our CRM and ensure qualified leads are followed up with effectively and aggressively
  • Maintain contact with prospects to develop long term, growing relationships
  • Manage mock-ups and sandbox sites
  • Work with the business and marketing team to continually evaluate sales processes, collateral, content, scripts and strategies and work to implement improvements and new programs
  • Successfully negotiating contracts with new and existing clients
  • Report on funnel status and the effectiveness of sales tasks and request additional resources where needed
  • Implement new strategies and programs for outbound sales activities to drive demand

 WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE:

  • 20% preparing and conducting expert sales demonstrations and following up with pricing and effective post-demo materials
  • 20% following up with existing opportunities to answer questions and move them through to decision and win, negotiating contracts, and handling late-stage opportunity tasks
  • 30% responding to new qualified leads and prospecting for new leads
  • 10% creating and reviewing mock-ups and active sandbox sites
  • 10% working with the team & marketing to plan and develop changes to sales collateral, messaging, campaigns, and discuss ways to increase volume of qualified leads
  • 10% market and competitor benchmarking and solution learning/input
